Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), recognized by Forbes as one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts, is a mission-driven public healthcare system dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to an ethnically and socio-economically diverse patient population. As an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, Tufts University School of Medicine, and the PA programs at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Northeastern University, CHA offers a rich, collaborative learning and practice environment.

We are currently seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE) Physician Assistant to join our Department of Surgery and play a key role in our MBSAQIP-accredited Bariatric Surgery Clinic.

This position supports CHA’s commitment to excellence in metabolic and bariatric health.

The PA will be an integral member of the care team, reporting directly to the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery. Responsibilities will be fulfilled both onsite at Cambridge Hospital and remotely, providing flexibility and balance.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Work 20 hours per week, with potential for increased hours.

  • No call required.

  • Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-operative evaluations, including assessments, follow-ups, and patient education.

  • Deliver individualized, compassionate care to patients undergoing bariatric procedures.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.

  • Offer ongoing education and support to patients and families navigating the bariatric journey.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a dynamic, supportive, and mission-focused team.

  • Access professional growth opportunities through academic affiliations.

  • Help shape a best-in-class bariatric care program in a community-focused setting.
