Obesity Medicine Specialist
Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Section of MIS/Bariatrics and Family Medicine is recruiting for a faculty position a clinician specializing in Obesity Medicine to:
- See new consultations for medical weight loss patients
- Follow up patients for medical weight loss (patients typically follow up monthly for medical weight loss so this would lead to exponential growth)
- Manage any patients who need medical weight loss prior to surgery
- Manage any patients who have weight regain after surgical weight loss
- Redirect inquiries for those who qualify or have interest in surgical weight loss to the bariatric program
- Support the establishment of an accredited medical weight loss center with the ASMBS

Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in specific field
Having completed a fellowship in bariatric medicine or been practicing for at least 2 years as an obesity medicine specialist
Passed the American board of obesity medicine exam
